Hello. I'm Tyler Jorgensen.

I'm an ER and palliative medicine doctor, a writer, and a lover of the outdoors. In my work I explore how music and creative expression can help patients and practitioners stay human in healthcare. In my writing and my podcast I explore healing connections with patients and the natural world.

Exploring Healthcare Through Creativity

As both a physician and creative, I believe in the power of art, music, and storytelling to transform healthcare experiences. My work bridges the gap between clinical excellence and human connection, helping healthcare providers and patients find meaning and healing in their journeys.

In my clinical work and research I explore strategies to bring the benefits of music to the bedside of hospitalized patients including the ENDEARing Approach and ATX-VINyL. Through the ATX-VINyL program our Vinyl Volunteers deliver a curated music listening experience to seriously ill patients with a record player and a wide-ranging library of excellent records. Through my podcast and Substack, I share stories of resilience, connection, and the profound lessons learned from patients and nature. Join me in exploring how we can bring more humanity into medicine.
